For independent study credit, most typically, I provide students with a research question, some background reading, and the design of a study. The student helps to run subjects, analyze data, and write up the results. Students who work with me have the opportunity to earn authorship on publications. Their work has been presented at ARVO (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), undergraduate conferences (East Coast), a conference at NASA/Johson Space Center (Texas), and the Cognitive Neuroscience Society (San Franscisco). I am currently working with two high school students who are preparing projects that they hope to submit to the Westinghouse/Intel Science Competition. Please contact me if you are interested in volunteering as a sujbect, joining us in our research projects.
