How did you hear about the River?
We are just about done here. Two more things: a login id and a password. Every user on the River has a unique name. This is called your user id or login id.

Your userid will identify you to other users on the River. It will appear on any email you send from the River and on your postings in River discussions.

Userids are two to eight characters long, using lower case letters and numeric characters, and must start with a lower case letter.

Select a userid:

A password can be any combination of letters, digits, and punctuation marks. Mixing upper and lower case is a good idea when creating a password. A password should be between 6 and 8 characters long.

Be creative! Keep your password a secret as well.
