Your time will bring us the Presidential campaign we've always wanted.
Most likely moving this website elsewhere -- river.org itself in strong transition.
Best bet: http://ww2.n1uro.com/~tingri until things settle one way or the other.
If mail sent to my e-mail address bounces for any reason, chris@hafey.com will always point to my correct, current (and most-frequently-checked) address.

This Act is also called the Communications Act of 2006.
The COPE Act of 2006 addresses a wide range of concerns, and will have an economic impact on users (and providers) of broadband Internet, VOIP, cellular telephones, broadcast television, and other communications matters in the United States.
For example:
Title IX establishes a number of rights for subscribers of Internet services in order to prevent an Internet Service Provider from undermining a consumer's experience on the Internet and from limiting the subscriber's ability to go wherever he or she wants on the Internet at whatever speed he or she purchased. In addition, this title would also provide consumers with the right to purchase stand-alone broadband service without having to purchase other services like video or phone service.

Working quite often on 8052 development projects. I work with Silabs 8051 variants; especially C8051F330, which is now available in DIP-20 package.
I have an iic driver (SMBus) for F330 written in AMRForth, which is what I use to develop software for microcontroller projects. I created the original Morse program the AMR appnote was based on. Mine had iambic keyer logic, which was lost in translation.
To work with the DIP-20 version of the F330 is simplicity; only four connections are required: Vdd, Vss, P0.4 and P0.5 (for the UART). Initialization requires two or three additional connections, which do not need to be present to use the AMR serial bootloader. [I am] working on a means to convey initialization techniques for F330, in case the reader does not have an AMR JTAG stamp (an AMR Gadget300 stamp -- F300-based -- initialized with a JTAG program). The F330 interfaces with the AMR stamp motherboard similarly to the F300; the C2 interface is a 2-wire affair and is needed only once (to initialize a new device shipped from the distributor). Digi-Key carries the DIP-20 version of the F330.

I am the primary author of a web page on the iLamp on Ubuntu wiki. Hopefully this will change.
